Asian Chai presents an Indian favorite with the added touches of anise seed and mandarin orange essence (peel). You get that wonderful licorice like aroma tempered in the cup with orange.
Asian Chai smells strong in the package but doesn’t overwhelm in the cup. The anise (said to be good for helping coughs and aiding digestion) can dominate a lot of the blends in which it is used but tends to be very balanced in this one. In the cup, there is a lighter anise flavor, pleasant, smooth, not bitter.
