Product Description

This Mengku Mu Ye Chun 2007 "002" Yongde Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake is the first release of the Mengku "Mu Ye Chun" label. This tea is produced by the Yong De sub-branch of the Mengku Shuangjiang tea factory. It is composed of entirely high-altitude first flush spring raw material from Yong De area of Lin Cang, a totally different area than classic Mengku teas come from.  The 002 blend is composed of more leaves and less silver tips. This is preferred over the "001" blend for long-term storage among Taiwan Pu-erh collectors. A strong taste and very infusable.

Weight: 400 grams

Producer: Mengku Shuangjiang Tea Factory (Yong De Sub-Branch)

Year: 2007

  • Mellow for a contemporary sheng

    by epcwks – November 16, 2017

The previous ratings I consulted, before buying this bing, paid off.
It's mellow for a contemporary sheng with a crisp mouth feel and medium cha qi. Considering picking up another.

This is a great tea for the price. The leaves have a decent amount of content. The flavors range from mushroomy, to minty. Underneath it all there is a pleasant bitterness. Because it is a tea from 07, it is lacking the punch of a very young sheng. It has a nice smoothness to it. The years have been kind to this cake.
