Ben Shan Green Clay of the highest grade! Ben Shan green clay has a clamshell texture and look. It is richly textured and after proper care and use will take on a glossy luster. This teapot was baked at a relatively low temperature to preserve the startling natural tones of the clay. After using for a long time to brew oolongs, or raw pu-erhs this teapot will take on bronze-like patina.

Just received it today. I can truthfully say that I myself think that this is an actual honest to goodness real Yixing teapot. The tone it makes when I tapped it to the body was clear like a bell. The water didn't roll off, and actually held the water in a thin film. And the hold in the lid, when you pour, it stops when it is covered. I absolutely love it. Cheers to it becoming my first and dedicated oolong teapot.
