Rohini Tea Estate presents its 2015 First Flush Darjeeling Tea called Jethi Kupi. “Jethikupi” means “jasmine flower” and is from the Manipuri dialect (Manipur state in northeast India). Alternately, in the Nepali dialect 'jethi' means ‘eldest girl child,’ and 'kupi' means a funnel or cone shaped object, meaning this tea is made of the earliest first flush of the tea garden. FTGFOP 1 means Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe #1 and indicates carefully plucked intact tea leaves.
All of our Darjeeling teas have the Darjeeling Tea Protected Origin Status.

Recommended Teawares:
You can infuse this tea in a steeper glass, a gaiwan, or a teapot (see teawares here). You can also use our T-sacs and infuse in a mug for great tea enjoyment without any excess fuss.
This is a very light tasting tea. Some tea drinkers claim it is malty and rich, but you would have to really over infuse it to get that quality. Try it infused as above. For a stronger flavor, use more leaves, a higher water temperature (around 190°F), and a longer infusion time (3.5 to 4 minutes).
