Xiaguan 2011 FT Baoyan Raw Pu-erh Tea Mushroom Tuo was first produced in 1953, then later due to the cultural revolution in China, tea production was stopped. In 1983, in order to meet market demand, especially in Tibet areas, the Xiaguan Tea Factory restarted production of this tea. The "FT" in the name of this tea indicates that this Baoyan mushroom tea was a special order of the "Fei Tai" Company which is the biggest Pu Er tea distributor in Taiwan. It is claimed that the specially-ordered Pu Er tea of Fei Tai company is a higher quality Maocha than the Xiaguan Tea factory. This tea is tightly pressed and good for long-term storage. The liquor has a beautiful golden quality; the tea has a full body taste and deep aroma. As is typical for FT productions, this tuo is composed of a blend spring harvest leaves between 1 and 3 years old which lends it a textured and well-rounded flavor.
