This Yixing Teapot is made of Ben Shan Green Clay of the highest grade in the "Dragon Egg" Shape with a 150ml capacity.
Ben Shan green clay has a clamshell texture and look. It is richly textured and after proper care and use will take on a glossy luster. This teapot was baked at a relatively low temperature to preserve the startling natural tones of the clay. After using for a long time to brew oolongs or raw pu-erhs this teapot will take on bronze-like patina. Only use one type of tea in your new Yixing pot. Please be sure to season your new Yixing teapot with the type of tea that you intend to use regularly in it. This Ben Shan clay "Dragon Egg" is made by a unique artist, Mr. Zhou Hua Qiang.
Clay Type: Yellow Dragon Mountain, Ben Shan Green Clay
Maker: Zhou Hua Qiang
This teapot by Zhou Hua Qiang was created by a combination of hand-work and molding. The shape is elegant and seamless, lid fit is tight and spout intake is flat on the inside (not a ball-filter). The water pours fast and even and by plugging the top the flow will stop quickly. An exquisite teapot that comes with its own certificate of authenticity.
